It was a political fight that spanned six election cycles in Atlanta and involved over a million calls and emails from GGO Nation, creating a tidal wave of crushing political pressure that Georgia had never seen before.
But on April 12, 2022, Georgia became the nation’s 25th Constitutional Carry state as S.B. 319 was officially signed into law by Governor Kemp at a Douglasville gun store!
Never again will law abiding Georgians be forced to pay a fee to the State of Georgia and add their name to a government database just to be able to exercise their God-given and Constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms!

Georgia Gun Owners isn’t funded by a national organization, and we don’t have a billionaire in New York City giving us money like the gun control groups that work in Atlanta do.
No, this fight for freedom was funded exclusively by you: the proud members of Georgia Gun Owners who love the Second Amendment and who are determined to defend it for our children and our grandchildren
(GGO’s entire team was on hand — the guys with their thumbs up in the air — as Brian Kemp signed Constitutional Carry into law on April 12!)
So many of the politicians in Atlanta laughed in our faces over the years as we told them that Georgia Gun Owners would pass Constitutional Carry one day; it was only a question of how many political careers would line the gutter of Georgia political history first.
Now all of those politicians — like former House Minority Leader Bob Trammell and so many others — have been thrown out of office and you and I have made it clear to the politicians in Atlanta that if they value their careers, they better not
vote against the Second Amendment.
Without a doubt, the passage of Constitutional Carry law and everything that came with it has been one of the biggest advancements in Second Amendment freedom in Georgia history!
And none of this would have happened without the unrelenting pressure of Georgia Gun Owners’ members and supporters.
It was GGO members who funded our programs that exposed gun grabbers at during every election cycle since 2012 using the hardest hitting radio, TV, and digital ads that gun-grabbers had ever seen, forcing many of them into early political retirement.
It was GGO members who were the fire wall that Georgia needed in 2018 especially, as we spent over $100,000 exposing Socialist Stacey Abrams and her agenda to disarm gun owners!
It was GGO members who sent HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of emails into the legislature ever single year in support of this bill, who joined me in testifying in committee for this bill, who helped us work the gun show circuit building support for this bill and went door-to-door with us at election time.
This session alone, GGO members sent over 97,000 emails in support of Constitutional Carry, almost crashing the state’s legislative website when they opened up for public comments regarding Constitutional Carry, and flooded Gov. Kemp with calls and emails demanding that he sign the bill.
Simply put, this victory belongs to the members of Georgia Gun Owners, the most feared political fighting force in the state! Thank you for every single action you’ve taken to make Georgia a Constitutional Carry state!
But all that we’ve accomplished together here in Georgia over the last twelve years is being threatened like never before by Joe Biden and the radical socialists who control Congress.
While it seems unlikely that Biden can muster the votes he needs to pass a national gun registry or a national ban on the AR-15 and other semi-automatic firearms, the threats posed to our freedoms through his Executive Orders are just beginning.
That’s why Georgia Gun Owners has already shifted our focus to the Second Amendment Preservation Act: legislation that would nullify federal gun control or executive actions here in Georgia by requiring Georgia cops to only enforce state laws where our firearms, ammunition, or accessories are concerned!

Sound too good to be true?
It’s not.
SAPA legislation is based on the Constitutional ‘anti-commandeering doctrine’ which states that the federal government may not simply ‘commandeer’ the state’s legislative authority and make them enforce federal laws that are contrary to state law.
That’s why it’s legal to smoke marijuana in some states, while federal law still says it’s a crime. That’s also how Democratic-run cities stopped President Trump from deporting criminal, illegal aliens.
And if Georgia passes our SAPA legislation, Joe Biden couldn’t stop us in the courts, either, as the United States Supreme Court has ruled in favor of states’ rights for hundreds of years in cases like Murphy v NCAA (2018), NFIB v Sebelius (2012), Printz v United States (1997) and more.
SAPA legislation is how we can shut down Biden’s war on guns in ‘red’ states like Georgia, but only if the legislature takes action on this legislation when they reconvene.

Georgia Gun Owners rejects the idea that the General Assembly doesn’t have to pass any gun bills for the next decade…that the legislature has ‘checked the box on guns.’
Constitutional Carry should have been passed years ago. The fact that it’s been signed into law doesn’t let any politician in Atlanta off the hook — as this is the least that they owed gun owners like you and me.
Conservatives and patriots like you and me are in a culture war with the Marxists like Stacey Abrams masquerading as Democrats, and if they win, America’s decline will accelerate, and our nation will rot away.
