With dozens of new State Representatives and Senators officially sworn into office, the 2025 legislative session is well underway here in Atlanta.

And things are already moving very quickly here.

That’s especially true of the Radical Left.

You see, while the GOP was focused on the swearing-in ceremony and arresting Senator Moore, the Left has filed almost a dozen of the worst gun control bills we’ve ever seen here! 

But, as you’re about to read, they are doing this with tacit support from moderate Republicans in both chambers.

I am asking every GGO member to stop what you are doing, read this email, and then immediately sign the petition that we’ve prepared!

HELP US SHUT DOWN GUN CONTROL IN ATL!

Before you do that, let me explain the situation here in Atlanta at the moment.

There are three camps in Atlanta right now when it comes to gun rights.

First, we have a group of diehard gun rights supporters like Senator Colton Moore, Rep. Charlice Byrd and others. They are battled tested gun rights warriors who will never betray us.

Second, we have the insane Leftists. This crop is not like what we’ve dealt with in the past. The Democrats today are openly trying to shred our gun rights.

Finally, we have the moderates in the Republican caucuses. Sadly, I think that they represent 75% of the Republican caucus in Atlanta right now. Maybe even 80% in the House.

You see, even though GGO members continue to decimate RINOs in the primaries every two years, they breed like political rabbits — coming back with more every year.

Right now, as you read this, these moderate Republicans are working with the Radical Left in Atlanta to move a gun control package that is growing by the day!

You see, over the summer months, a bi-partisan Interim Study Committee in the Senate met to approve gun control bills to fast track during the 2025 session.

The committee was already meeting when the shooting at Apalachee High took place in September, fueling their fire.

Now that session has been convened, the study committee has released their list of recommendations, and these bills are being filed in Atlanta!!! At a minimum, we are facing:

>>> Deadly ‘safe storage’ laws; that would require us to lock up our guns in a gun safe or with a cable lock 24 hours a day unless we are hunting or out target shooting.

This is a deadly idea. If this passes and Georgians obey it, it would be impossible to access a firearm during the midst of a violent home invasion!

>>> A 10-day waiting period on gun sales; that would leave Georgians vulnerable to a violent criminal’s attack while waiting for an arbitrary waiting period to elapse.

To suggest this, while violent crime is spiking across our state and across the country is insane! They know this will harm innocent Georgians (women most) and they don’t care!

>>> ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation; which would allow liberal judges to order the confiscation of our firearms based on bogus ‘evidence’ obtained in secret court hearings.

Remember, these gun seizure orders are issued before we have been charged, arrested, or convicted of anything!

And this is just the beginning. There are gun control bills being filed on an almost daily basis right now.

But here’s the worst part: Speaker Jon Burns and Lt. Governor Burt Jones have already agreed to portions of this committee’s recommendations dealing with ‘safe storage’ laws!

Gun owners need to stand up and get very loud, very fast, to make sure that every politician in Atlanta knows that if they vote for any one of these bills, they will pay the price!

Some may say that there’s no way the legislature is going to pass gun control. But that’s a mistake, especially if we experience another shooting like we had last fall.

And while it’s true that Georgia has solid gun laws (GGO members made that happen!) there is no neutral when it comes to our gun rights — we’re either gaining ground or losing ground.

Gun owners in Florida never thought their Republican legislature would pass waiting periods on gun sales, until they did.

Gun owners in Indiana never thought their Republican legislature would pass ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures,’ until they did.

And many gun owners didn’t think that dozens of Republicans would help Biden pass gun control in 2022, until they did.

We CAN NOT sit back and just ‘hope for the best’ or blindly trust that the moderates in Atlanta will come to their senses and stop these bills on their own. We need to flood the House and Senate with grassroots opposition right now!

So please sign your petition immediately.

Our program is designed to MAKE SURE the politicians in Atlanta know that if they don’t oppose this attack on our gun rights, gun owners will find someone who will!

But I can’t run this program without your help.
