The 2022 session of the Georgia General Assembly will be kicking off in less than three weeks, and thanks to the pressure of GGO members like you, Constitutional Carry will be a MAJOR ISSUE!
Brian Kemp promised gun owners he would fight for Constitutional Carry when he ran for office in 2018, only to stab gun owners in the back for three years in a row.
Now, facing a primary from Trump-endorsed David Purdue, the pressure is on in Atlanta and 2022 will be the best chance we’ve had in years to make Georgia a Constitutional Carry state!
But we can’t take anything for granted. So please sign your petition demanding action from the legislature and Brian Kemp on Constitutional Carry during the 2022 session!

As you know, Constitutional Carry law would allow law abiding Georgians to carry a firearm for self-defense without having to pay a fee or add their names to a government database like some sort of sex offender!
And despite what the media and anti-gun politicians claim, Constitutional Carry does not raise crime rates. Instead, just like America saw when ‘Shall Issue’ swept the country in the 1990’s, allowing more good people to carry guns REDUCES CRIME.
To be clear, Constitutional Carry doesn’t do away with Georgia’s current ‘Shall Issue’ permit process. It simply makes it optional for law abiding gun owners.
With twenty-one states now having Constitutional Carry on the books, and with four more states likely to pass it this
year, the debate over the impact of this law is settled.
The only question now is whether or not Brian Kemp will keep his promise to gun owners and work with the legislature to finally pass Constitutional Carry this year — or get devoured by gun owners in his upcoming primary.

But we must be careful and make sure that the moderates in Atlanta don’t fill the bill with harmful amendments that would require gun owners to notify law enforcement that they are armed or limit Constitutional Carry to Georgia residents only!
We need to insist that Georgians get the same freedoms here that gun owners in twenty-one other states already have.
Georgia Gun Owners is working with pro-gun champions like Representative Philip Singleton and Senator Jason Anavitarte to introduce Constitutional Carry the moment session convenes.
But it’s important that we have as many co-sponsors on these two bills as possible. That’s why your signed petition is so important, so your legislators know that the time for talk is over and that you demand they co-sponsor this bill.
