Bowing to the overwhelming grassroots pressure of the members of Georgia Gun Owners, the Georgia State Senate just voted to approve Constitutional Carry (S.B. 319) by a vote of 34-22!
None of this ‘just happened.’ This entire fight, from getting 31 co-sponsors on the bill, to passing it through the Judiciary and Rules Committee, and today’s vote in the Senate happened because the members of GGO have been relentless all session long!
Much of the GGO team was on hand in the legislature today — including our former director Patrick Parsons — as we leaned on the politicians in Atlanta right up until the moment of the vote.
To hear how it all went down today in the legislature, check out this video update our team just recorded in Atlanta!
But as you just heard, the fight for Constitutional Carry in the House is going to be a battle all the way as Speaker David Ralston has been working behind the scenes against it for years.

Forcing Ralston to pass Constitutional Carry is going to be a challenge. And making him do it without horrific amendments that water the bill down will be an even bigger fight.
GGO will be using our cutting-edge texting programs, digital and internet ads, and our massive email program to flood the House with calls and emails demanding passage of this bill! But we need your help to make this all happen!

P.S. Thanks to all of your calls and emails over the last few days, Constitutional Carry just cleared the State Senate here in Atlanta, by a vote of 34-22!
This is a tremendous victory! For all of the details, please check out the video report we posted above.
