Senator Colton Moore is the best there is in the Georgia Senate, and that’s why he won re-election last November with 80% of the vote. North Georgia loves him.
It’s not a surprise.
Colton Moore is the leading supporter of the Second Amendment.
Colton Moore is the leading supporter of rural Georgia.
And Colton is the leading supporter of Donald Trump.
For these reasons, the moderates here in Atlanta hate Colton Moore. Chief among them is Speaker of the House, Jon Burns.
This morning, Speaker Jon Burns had Moore thrown to the ground, arrested, and drug out of the Capitol like a criminal as Moore tried to attend the State of the State address from Governor Kemp — an event Moore is constitutionally required to attend!

The ‘reason’ Burns cited was that he personally banned Moore from the House floor a year ago, over a personal beef.
It’s total crap, and it denies the over 200,000 voters in Senate District 53 the representation they deserve. BTW, these voters re-elected Moore with a staggering 78.9% of the vote!

GGO has never seen anything like this, in over 15 years of working in the legislature.
But Burns wasn’t content with arresting Moore.
He also had Moore ‘perp-walked’ down three flights of stairs, past a bunch of angry leftist agitators, and into a squad car – all while still wearing handcuffs!
As this was happening, I was racing to get to my car.
I followed Moore to the Fulton County Jail (Rice Street) where I eventually learned that Senator Moore was being charged with obstruction and was required to post bail to be released!
It was insane! A sitting member of the Georgia Senate, being treated like a gangbanger.
Do you know who else was booked in this jail not that long ago? Another great leader who was treated like a common thug!
That’s right. Senator Moore was booked in the very same prison as President Donald J. Trump!
I don’t know about you, but I don’t carry that much cash on me these days. And neither does Senator Moore.
So once bail was established, I ran to my nearest branch bank and withdrew just over $1,300 and I personally paid for Senator Moore’s bail.

Unfortunately, Senator Moore injured his hand while being shoved to the ground, so he was transported to Emory University Hospital where he is undergoing x-rays.
We hope everything is fine. But things are definitely NOT FINE in the Georgia legislature!
Tens of millions of Americans have seen videos of what happened today. Everyone saw the same thing: Senator Moore tried to attend a joint session of the legislature and was assaulted.
Despite that, Speaker Jon Burns is claiming Moore was violent!
So is House Majority Leader Chuck Efstration.
It’s insane. And this is far from over. Colton is now facing criminal charges and the lead prosecutor on this case is Fani Willis. And folks, he needs our help!
Due to Senate ethics rules, Colton can’t fundraise during session. He can’t ask for financial help to fight these charges.
