Wednesday night, every single Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives voted to approve Constitutional Carry law for Iowa. Every single one!
In fact, the pressure from gun owners is so intense in Iowa (thanks to our sister organization, Iowa Gun Owners) that Democrats crossed over and voted for this bill, too.
The Iowa Senate is widely expected to pass this bill through their chamber next week, and after previously speaking out against Constitutional Carry, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is expected to sign this bill into law if it gets to her desk.
Assuming the State of Iowa enacts this legislation, that will make nineteen states where gun owners no longer need to add their name to a government database just to be able to carry a firearm for self-defense!
Don’t forget, Utah and Montana signed this into law earlier this year as well, and the bill is moving in Tennessee and Indiana right now.
State after state is passing Constitutional Carry legislation into law while they have the votes to get it done. Here in Georgia, the legislature is giving gun owners nothing!

Constitutional Carry is a very simple concept.
It simply states that if you are legally allowed to own a firearm, you could legally carry that firearm for self-defense without having to pay a fee for that right –- and without having
to be tracked, traced, and registered like a sex offender!
Of course, the media and anti-gun lawmakers in Atlanta are lying about the impact of this bill, trying to kill it before it even gets off the ground.
No, Constitutional Carry does not mean that criminals can own firearms. Stopping violent criminals from harming our loved ones is why we carry firearms in the first place.
And no, passing Constitutional Carry does not mean that the current ‘Shall Issue’ system would be eliminated. Nothing about the current law would change, except that it would be optional!

Nor would passage of Constitutional Carry lead to a spike in violent crime.
On the contrary, every single state that passed this legislation over the last ten years saw their murder rates decline immediately! These fear mongering tactics are FAKE NEWS, and nothing new to gun owners here in Georgia.
The good news is that Constitutional Carry has been filed in Atlanta (H.B. 2.) The bad news is that it’s been assigned to the Public Safety and Homeland Security committee — a committee that has sat on this bill before on orders from Speaker Ralston.
So please send your emails today, and then encourage your friends and family to get involved in this fight and send their emails, too!
Gun owners in Missouri have been successful at passing major Second Amendment bills into law because they are NOT AFRAID to call out Republicans who stand in their path.
In Wyoming last year, gun owners removed over a half-dozen POWERFUL back-stabbing Republicans from office during their August primaries — Republicans who were blocking critical pro-gun legislation.
And in Pennsylvania, gun owners threw Republican Senator Thomas Killion out of office last fall, after he led the charge for ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ all last year.
As gun owners in ‘red Georgia’ we have a decision to make.
Are we going to sit back and give these lawmakers a pass because they are Republicans, or, are we going to demand that they keep their campaign promises and pass Constitutional Carry like eighteen other state legislatures have done?
To me, the choice is clear.
We need to keep the pressure on in Atlanta and remind the politicians that they work for us and that, like any employer, we expect them to do their job — or we’ll find someone who will.
Help us do that, by sending your PRE-WRITTEN EMAILS now!
Send your email, and when you’re done, please make a donation to Georgia Gun Owners so we can continue to fight for you and hold the line for our great Second Amendment.
Georgia Gun Owners members are the tip of the spear in the fight for freedom here in Georgia and have done so much to save our state from the socialists who want to destroy it.
Please continue to stand with us. Whether you can give $5 or $500, please do so today.
Whatever you do, be sure to send your emails to the politicians in Atlanta, that’s most important!

P.S. States all over America are passing Constitutional Carry law! In the Iowa House two days ago, every single Republican voted yes on this legislation and it’s widely expected that Iowa will become the nineteenth Constitutional Carry state!
But here in Georgia, Speaker Ralston continues to block this legislation from advancing, and the rest of his caucus is too afraid to go around him!
When you’re done, please make a donation to help Georgia Gun Owners continue to mobilize gun owners in support of this badly needed legislation.
