I know that gun owners across the country are watching the news out of Washington, D.C. as Joe Biden was sworn into office just hours ago, bringing with him a massive attack on our gun rights.
But as you know, we are dealing with plenty right here in Atlanta, too, as multiple politicians have announced their intentions to file legislation to repeal Stand-Your-Ground law.
Recently, we informed you that Savannah Morning News broke a story about Republican State Representative Chuck Efstration’s plans to sign onto that bill as a leading co-sponsor.
Of course, if he was allowed to get away with that, it would undoubtedly open the floodgates in the Capitol, and we could have very likely seen dozens of moderates follow suit.
Georgia Gun Owners sent out an alert about this yesterday, urging you to take immediate action.
And you did!
So much so that Representative Chuck Efstration announced late yesterday afternoon that the newspaper ‘made an error’ and that they have ‘issued a correction’ –- which is political speak for “GGO members caught my hand in the cookie jar and slammed the lid shut hard!”
You absolutely need to watch the video update that our team on the ground in Atlanta recorded yesterday!
Thank you for taking action, and reminding all the politicians in Atlanta that gun owners are not going to tolerate anyone — especially a Republican — who even contemplates attacking our gun rights!
