The fight for gun rights is changing, for the better.
Since the Supreme Courtâs Heller and McDonald decisions in 2008 and 2010, the fight for gun rights in red states revolved around Shall Issue, Constitutional Carry, and Stand-Your-Ground law.
Throughout this time, certain topics remained taboo…like non-violent felons getting their gun rights back.
But last yearâs Bruen decision from the Supreme Court changed everything, by doing away with the âmeans-end scrutinyâ standard and replacing it with a âpresumption of protection under the Second Amendmentâ standard.
And when you add in Bruenâs requirement that gun control laws must show how they comply with the historical use/regulation of firearms in this country, itâs a whole new ballgame!
Thatâs why the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals just issued a landmark decision dealing with non-violent felons and guns.

I donât know about you, but seeing courts across the country implementing the Bruen decision is one of the most encouraging things Iâve seen in the fight for gun rights in a long time!Â
Georgia Gun Owners will continue to lead the fight for freedom here in Georgia in the legislature, the courtroom, and in the court of public opinion — and I hope youâll continue to stand with us!
